Cut Negative People Out Of Your Life

Since I have started to get into all this thinking positively and trying to be happy and reading books on how to change your mind set and be successful, the one thing that keeps cropping up time and time again from multiple sources is… Remove negative people from your life.

Okay this may sound abit drastic but hear me out, I’m not saying cut out your best friends but know that surrounding yourself with negativity will greatly impact your own mood and mindset.

This is something that has been greatly proved to me just recently, before breaking up from college I was surrounded by many negative people who just moaned all the time, I never noticed before until I decided to change my own mindset and it’s then that I noticed they were bringing me down with them, since I’ve broke up and I haven’t been seeing those individuals I have noticed a physical change in my mentality, I am so much more happier.

Like I say I’m not saying that you should break apart from your closest friends HOWEVER what you can do is limit the amount of negativity that you surround yourself with, for example I have decided to avoid Facebook and turn my instagram into a source of positivity by following positive upbeat instagram pages. I follow pages that post quotes and inspiring stories along with things that motivate me.

The world is full of negativity, it is everywhere you look, this might be why most people are miserable. You can do things to avoid the negativity though like stop watching the news, stop interacting with people who do nothing but moan, little things like this. If you don’t believe me how much of a difference it can make, try it just for a couple weeks and watch how much of a difference it makes, a friend of mine recently changes gyms and moved to one with a more positive environment, ever since he’s gone there he’s working out better than ever before.

Anyway I’m going to stop this one here so I will leave you with this:

“Surround yourself with people that reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel. Energies are contagious.”

Sorry it’s abit short but I’m ill at the moment and I’m having trouble concentrating on writing, hence why there was no post on Tuesday, normal service will be resumed from now on I can assure you of that.
